My mom is going through menopause. How can I console her?

I'm a teenager and it is funny in a sence because we both have mood swings but I am close with my mom and when I need to talk to her she brushes me off. I try to lift her up as much as I can but she wants to be left alone more than I DO!! She's in her 40's and I though menopause started in your 50's.
