Horse nose bleed? please help?

Hello, I have been around alot of TBs and never seen ths=is problem before i picked up awhile ago that the horse i lease may be having trouble swallowing, but im not quiet sure, i havent seen any other horses do what he does, he stretches out his neck long and has his mouth open, it looks as though he cant swallow properly and does this a few times throughout his night feed. Then the other day when i seen him i thought i seen blood in his right nostril so i looked closer and it was blood. it was not running but kind of dried it didnt look like there was to much but he hasnt had it before and i havent seen it again since, i dont feed him in the mornings so i only check him once a day. he is a 22 y/o TB gelding and apart from that in great health, Let me know if you have any answers or have been through the same thing! Prices on utilities?

My bf wants to move in to a basement apartment that is fixed up into a okay size 2 bedroom (1 okay size, 1 small) with kitchen, small living room, and a big bathroom in Franklin, NJ. The price that the landlord is asking for is $700 including utilities. My boyfriend thinks it's a horrible price. He won't be home alot. He will be cooking in the microwave almost every nigh and cooking on an electric or propane stove on the other nights. He'll be using the heat in the winter and claims he won't use heat or air conditioner at all in summer. He also has to use water for food and drink mix (because he's like a diabetic). He also claims he's "never gonna be there". He says when he's not hanging out, he'll have his friends at the house. He also has a job right down the street so it's convienent. There is a jakuzee (sp) that belongs to us (we rent the top part and yard). My dad already agreed to let him use it, but he has to ask first. I think he's being ridiculous. Please help.

What features would your ideal house have?

I have a 2200 sq. ft home on one level it's an earth home, which means it's all on one level, and I particularly like that. While I'm only 65 it makes it easy to get my Mother -In- Law in and out when she comes over. Also looking down the road, might make it easier on me one day:). The one thing I 've seen in here was a question about a roof system they use in the UK that I wish was on my roof. Was a commercial roofing contractor for 29 years and see many advantages to this system, and understand how it would work and save a lot of money on energy. Also would sure break up the monotony of other roofs in the neighbor hood, only problem I could for see, would be any thing needing venting, through this system would require a great deal of skill to accomplish. Since I'm a professional at that as long as I'm healthy it wouldn't be a problem. But you can look at the video and see it. It wouldn't do very well on a high pitched roof. Kept trying to find a nice sedum roof could find a nice one. I like all your ideas , but this roofing sytem has been on my mind since I first saw it.

Around two weeks ago i went on a field trip to Highland maximum securiy prison. I suppose they were trying to scare us into not commiting crime. I kind of got left behind from the pack... guess that's an exageration, i could still see my cl. I was walking along one of the corridors when a man slammed himself into the bars and began to yell at me. It was the scariest thing i have ever experienced. He began to mutter things i couldn;t understand, possibly mexican coz that's what he looked like. I couldn't take my eyes away, he stared at me and gave one last scream and then backed away. Since that day i've been hearing that muttering in my head everyday, at 2:oo pm, the same time i visited the prison. The voices are becoming clearer. I;m truly scared, am i going crazy. I swear i heard the word death. What should i do.

okay its never too late to try. I promise you one day it will happen. My best friend of 10 years is about to give birth to her first baby. She has been trying to get pregnant for 4 years now. It almost brings tears to my eyes on what a miracle this baby is. She has 2 of everything. Yea it wierd, but she had all kinds of hormonal problems. The doctors said she had about 10% chance of getting pregnant on her own. She took hormone shots, and her and her husband just tried, and finally little mason is going to be born in january. Dont give up its a journey, and dont let anyone discourage you. Children are blessings no matter the cirstances. Thats what we live for. If you dont get the result in a couple years of trying look into artificial insemenation. Its still your baby you just might get more than one :) take care hope it all works for you!

Sound like you have a lot of issues controlling you right now. Too mainly honestly I think that you can address on your own. I really think you could benefit greatly by checking yourself into a mental health facility for say maybe a week. That way you can get therapy 24/7 and there wil be people there who can observe your behavior and get you on some corrective meds. The overdosing part and self harm really worries me. You can get help.Try going to Your local ER and telling them what's going on. They can be sure you get to the kind of facility you need to be in. Good Luck!

You are talking environmental depression created by feelings of frustration at not being able to control what is going on around you......I am an adult but can relate (had jobs the same way, but being addicted to food, lights, water, heat, etc. in this economy did not have a choice......) I know it is hard but you need to sit down with your mom and explain to her that keeping you in this school is neglect...ask her when your dad is gone to have a rational conversation........because of your depression and the way you feel about this school. I would explain that you would be much better off in a public school, and ask her what you two can do to work this out. Explain to her that you are in real distress and forcing you back to that school will likely lead to another hospitalization for depression.....and neither of you two want that......ASK her what it is going to take for her and your father to allow you to change schools. Tell her you are willing to work hard and do your best, not get into trouble and that you want to see a doctor/counselor about your depression issues.......If she refuses tell her that you wish to see a psychologist ASAP and explain to that person your feelings and why you MUST get out of that school..(the long story you did not relate here).and have that person explain to your parents.......If she refuses to get you a psychologist, I would call the local child protective services and file a complaint for medical neglect. EVEN THOUGH your parents can make decisions for you (and can force you to attend which school they want) they must follow a certain set of basic guidelines relating to parenting; those basic guidelines are the same in all of the USA.....You have to feed, clothe, and OBTAIN PROPER MEDICAL ATTENTION for your children. Basic human rights......as I said if your mom won't listen, the psychologist will; and if your parents won't take you before you call CPS they will afterwords..................I feel sorry for you in the fact that I learned a long time ago that it is best to listen to your children and allow them to make their own (reasonable) decisions.........It has worked out well.......5 girls and 2 boys raised by a single dad, and open communication is the rule here, not the exception.......They CANNOT wait to tell me things and at times it drives me nutz sometimes, but I KNOW it is best in the long run......did you know that my 16 yr old daughters older friend Rebbecca just got married, and on her wedding night she got so drunk she puked on her husbands private area while giving him oral pleasure? sounds like the older cats equillibrium is off. It could have been due to being hit but I doubt it. I think there is just backed up fluid. Did they give you antibiotics or just an ointment? Because you might need to get an antibiotic to clear that up. It really sounds to me that there may be fluid throwing off the balance. It may not be one thing that is causing him to fall over, it could be totally sparatic because of the build up.

Will the new alli pill work good with the Atkins Diet?

I'm taking the Alli pills now, I am allowed up to15 grams of fat per meal. I have to be on a low fat diet which I believe on Adkins you consume lots of fatty foods. I do know people who are on weight watchers and they take Alli. Part of the side effect of Alli is the poops if you consume to much fat. You can try it with Adkins but I wouldn't. I maintain my fat intake and do not have any of the side effects and I don't have to wear dark pants. Alli is only like a laxative if you consume to much fat. My daughter and I have been taken Alli for a week and have not experienced any effects concerning our bathroom routine. Directions have to be followed.

Instead he kept telling me stories of how I was going to end up alone if he approves us. How he sees it all the time and just kept pushing it. He then brought me back, made my husband leave and told me more than likely he will deny us but we need to send in the medical examination again and our co-sponsors birth certificate. We had all this in the file. He said the medical examination was missing a piece in the sealed envelope he had even though we had it in ours. He also said he would sent someone to my moms house to get sworn statements. What do you think? We are worried sick. We had a lot of evidence but it seems as though he is basing it on one opinion of someone who I am not close to and have pretty much cut out of my life. We interviewed at the Tampa office. Does this sound like Bipolar disorder?

I've done extensive reading on the internet about Bipolar disorder. I often find myself in a normal mood and suddenly something would trigger (sometimes nothing in particular) a severe depressive state wherein I find myself suicidal. I feel like I could just go to the nearest bridge or building and jump. And afterward, when my mood is better, I can't believe that I wanted to kill myself and even the thought of it scares me. I understand that Bipolar disorder is very difficult to diagnose and this short paragraph doesn't say much about me but I don't think that this is normal and I'm really worried that one day the sudden bouts of depression would get so bad that I'm actually going to kill myself. Where should I go from here? Can a normal GP help in this case? I'm weary of mentioning the suicidal thoughts because that would mean that by law my doctor has to put me in hospital. How do I get around it?

We still love each other. We both contributed to the demise of the relationship - the biggest problem was letting our friends influence us and we listened to their bad advice and it tainted the way we felt about each other. We are broken up now but stuck living together and we're trying to give each other space and remain friends. I would like to try again but I know, as of right now, if we started again we'd just end up the same. There were still little problems - I.E. my temper (I would get annoyed easily over stupid things and be mad at him) and his messiness and tendency to be a bit obnoxious. I am more willing to put up with his problems than he is to put up with mine. He still loves me, but he feels because of our problems and where we let things go it won't work out in the long run. I disagree, but I do think we need to work on ourselves before we try again. I don't know if I can or should convince him that in six months or a year we could revisit the issue and see if we're better for each other or if I should just try to improve myself and my temper and see if his mind changes when he notices the changes. Bad Behavior: My 16 week kitten does bad things on purpose to get our attention. Why?

I have had cats all my life. And when we got our little girl a few months ago we learned she was exceptionally intelligent and not like other cats. She has a very outgoing personality and likes to do adventurous things. We have given her lots of toys, we play with her as often as we can, and one of us is always home to spend time with her. At first it was lying on the kitchen table, or ruining the blinds, dodging outside, and eating my flowers and now it is getting up on our fireplace mantle and knocking things over. We have used the squirt bottle and time out in a dark bathroom for 10 minutes. She knows when she is doing something "bad" because we will point at her- say Lilith No!" and she will trill and keep on doing it. She loves receiving negative attention. When I met my boyfriend, I had absolutely no experience with guys, I'd hardly kissed a guy. Now, a year later we're still together (I'm 18, he's 28). Make sure it is permanently deleted because sometimes you need to go to the trash bin and delete it again. If this doesn't work you probably have a virus coming from a website. Viruses that enter your computer from just you going on a website are extremely difficult to get rid of because only very good hackers can make them. International-rules Kickboxing or Full-contact?

I like full contact personally more than International rules as it does not have any kicks below the belt. International rules with leg kicks and training for them really takes it toll on your legs and knees over time and some fighters get knee injuries from errant leg kicks. Knees are not such a big deal and elbows in this country are not allowed although MMA may change that since they are allowed in that type of fighting. For a while kickboxing was more popular especially in the 70s and 80s but Maui Thai has really changed that during the 90s I think and now it is about even. Many of the fighters I know will do either but if they are not good at taking leg kicks they are a little more careful who they fight with regards to leg kicks as they don't want to get chopped down.

2 yr old chihuahua sick - fever/cough. HELP!!?

Okay he's a long haired chihuahua and he's two. He weighs about 7 lbs. I took him to the vet about two months ago and dropped about $1500 to find out he was internally bleeding. Long story short he stayed for a few days until he got better. But today I got home from work and realized he was just laying down so I took his temp and it wad 102.9 as the night went on he had a more and more difficult congested cough like something is plugging his nose and stuck in his throat and when he goes to like throw up from breathing heavy nothing comes up he's just gagging. I just took his temp and it's 103.2. Obviously my vet isn't open I do have an ER vet but I can't afford it right now so I need any advice anyone can give me please!!!

well if it was your first time then you may just be getting yourself worked up and worried and it is making you sick, it has happened to me too, its ok. you are worried because if you got sick then you may think that you are pregnate... but you just need to take some advil or an asprin and lay down or get active outside your house, work out its always a fun and better time for me:) if you are scaired that you are pregnate then you should take a test in a few days:) good luck and i hope that i helped:)

How do you wean 14-week old from the pacifier?

My baby sometimes needs to pacifier to get to sleep, but not always. He mainly needs it to calm down if he is all worked up. I'd prefer it if he sucked his thumb instead but he still hasn't got the hand of that. We swaddle him at night but are going to start leaving his arms out in the hope that he will find his thumb. My roommates pups have been diagnosed and are currently being treated for parvo at home.?

I warned my roommates about having their pups vaccinated from day one, I told them about parvo, what it will do and how much it would cost to treat the animal. They didn't listen. My cousin had his akita, Kane, for 7 months, he was the worst of the two, he had to be hospitalized and treated with IV fluids and meds. My sister had her maltipoo, Jade, for 5 mnths, she was treated at home. They're doing great, my roommates wallets are not, but they learned their lesson, my problem is my dog Roxy, who is vaccinated and tested negative for parvo, had a litter, I have them isolated from the Kane and Jade, I now you can carry the virus on your shoes and clothes which is why I stay away from them and take my shoes off before going near the pups and Roxy. I know parvo can live at room temp for up to 6mths and it incubates for 2wks after exposure. My Question after they complete antibiotics, how long will it be for Kane and Jade to be cleared of parvo and allowed around the pups and Roxy?

I did not bother buying a complete gigantor prep book, because I find that that probably will not be helpful since I won't have time to get through that. I have been going through SAT vocab though for about a week. I have zero prep as well although my school just started offering ACT prep cles that might help. At your local bookstore they might have a short "cram session" book, for the unprepared test taker:(. I did not even know i was taking the test at all until last week! good luck. I have heard that you should not try to cram the night before, and get plenty of sleep with a good breakfast. I have also been told to relax, take a look at some practice problems online, review the basic math and english strategies, and pick 30 difficult vocab words to learn.

Is there any way to help me remember chinese characters?

My parents are from China, so I speak it very well (of course). But even after learning it for almost 8 years, I still have mive trouble remembering any characters when I read. It's just kind of sad for me to be Chinese yet suck so badly at reading and writing. I'm learning on a really high level right now, yet I still only can remember the characters for the most basic words. All the software it find is either for beginners, or really expensive. Is there any way I can reinforce the Chinese characters at an intermediate level? I don't need pronunciation help, just help with remembering how to read and writing in Chinese. I'm always one of the worst in my cl, and I always get 60%s on tests for characters. Is there any hope for me? Or do I have to start again from the basics?

When will teachers stop haring students for no reason whatsoever?

Jim, never contemplate suicide for anything, dear. Life sometimes seems so extreme and one looses the will of life. When you're a child, the things that don't seem to be a big deal to grownups IS a big deal to a child, and I know it's a hard thing to go through, but when thoughts like this come to mind, think of what you can do better in your future and don't let the hurt in too deep.. push it out and think of positive things in your life. As for teachers.. there are both, some are good, and some are bad. I think that now-a-days I keep finding so many that aren't worthy of teaching. It also goes both ways with the students, dear, there are so many kids out there that have not earned respect by the way they behave, and so it's hard to make people understand when there is a good kid that has a bad teacher because soon they'll start saying that the kid is the bad one and the teacher is in her right, as they ume that all kids are wild and uncontrolable, therefore it's hard to correct the real issues when there is a teacher that really needs the discipline and not that particular student. Also remember that teachers are also human and they do play their emotions like anyone else.. they find their favorite students and those that they choose not to like as much. There is however a handfull of teachers that are as awsome as can be and know the meaning of being fair to every individual student. I do hope that you get a whole lot more of those, although so hard to find, than the other kind. Good luck... oh, and do yourself, and those that love you, a favor... if you ever think of suicide again, let your parents know how you feel so that they can seek help for you.
